Hello! Welcome to daOn Sewing SYSTEM. Today, we are excited to introduce a rather unique Juki cylinder-bed sewing machine. This is an extra-heavy-duty machine equipped with a specialized Large Shuttle hook.

We recently delivered this machine to Aha Sewing, a unique workshop located in Anyang and run by a dynamic, young entrepreneur.
Unlike typical domestic factories, this facility stands out for its distinctive character. Thanks to the owner’s exceptional craftsmanship, they produce a wide variety of highly customized products. The entire setup carries the distinct ambience of a traditional Japanese-style artisan workshop.

The client mentioned that they mainly work with heavy canvas fabrics. Since we did not have canvas on hand at the time, we conducted the test using denim (jeans fabric), which offers the most similar texture and density. We successfully tested the machine’s performance on roughly 8 to 10 layers of denim.
The video clip is quite short because the thread snapped during the test, causing the machine to pause. However, if you look closely at the footage, you can actually see smoke rising as the fabric is being stitched.
This smoke occurs because the needle generates intense friction and heat while piercing through such thick, high-density material. Depending on the fabric type, this is a very common and normal phenomenon when operating an extra-heavy-duty machine equipped with Large shuttle hook system.
